Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello on Monday said only the best is good for his people, hence his resolve to continue to embark on projects that will be beneficial and add value to their lives.
He stated this during his 2nd term re-election campaign rally at the Aliyu Makama Memorial Stadium, Bida, in Bida Local Government Area of the state.
The Governor assured the large crowd of party members and supporters that if re-elected his administration would continue to embark on projects that would enable the people feel the impact of the government, because "only the best is good for our people".
According to him, "in the last 3 years we have been able to embark on different projects in different parts of the state.
"In Bida, we have been able to engage in infrastructural development in the areas of road construction and rehabilitation, total over hauling of Government Girls Secondary, Bida, School of Nursing, Bida as well as it accreditation after 40 years.
"We have also engaged in the resuscitation of the Bida Water Works and we are working towards township reticulation and providing alternative power supply to the water works in order to ensure that the essential commodity gets to all parts of Bida town.
"Work will soon commence on Darachita road and Eyagi Technical School will also be captured in the next Whole School Approach."
He then assured the people of more projects and called for their support as the general election draws near.
Earlier, the Governor had paid courtesy visit on the chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers and Etsu Nupe, Alh. Yahaya Abubakar and sought for the blessings, prayers and support to the royal father in the actualization of his gubernatorial ambition.
The Director General of Abubakar Sani Bello Campaign Council, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman noted that Governor Sani Bello has transformed the state in the last three and half years and solicited the support of Bida people by voting for the Governor in order to continue the "good job" he has started.
In the same vein, Chairman Bida Local Government All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Saliyu Ndagi highlighted the governor's track record of excellence in the area and assured the Governor that his "achievements will propel the people of Bida to vote for him".
Highpoint of the campaign rally was the receiving of decampees from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress ( APC) by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and the State party chairman.
Among the decampees were the former Minister of Sports, Egnr. Sani Ndanusa, Alh. Aliyu Makama, Makaman Nupe, Gen. Mohammed Gana, Hon. Isah Musa Lakpene, Hon. Sadiq Umar and Alh. Yahaya Dangana.
