Societe Generale Bank:Allegations of Corruption on Bukola Saraki Baseless and Unsustainable

By Concerned  Nigerian

Reading any vituperate tirade against the Senate President,His Excellency Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki or any of his family members from sahara reporters news website doesn't deserve any serious attention, because the public is already aware that it is a digital platform for destructive, unprofessional and blackmail journalism which viciously introduced by its controversial publisher,Mr.Omoyele Sowore. One does not need any forensic audit before arriving at a factual conclusion that the allegations raised by the writer with regards to the failed Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria (SGBN) are clearly baseless and unsustainable. The whole thing is a desperate attempt to demonise Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki before the world, his friends, political associates and supporters, all for political reasons.Unfortunately Sahara reporters has consistently offered itself as a willing tool to play the hachet job and impress its pay masters and sponsors. This smear campaign is a carefully considered reflections informed by someone's intimate knowledge of the politics of the land and motivations of Sowore’s carefully packaged delusory journalism. It is therefore important to rescue the noble profession (journalism) from ethically challenged, professionally deficient gatecrashers like Sahara Reporters.Although Sowore's habit of blackmailing state Governors and other kinds of people in government and the private sector or extortionate pecuniary gratification deserves a second, hard look from media professionals and friends of the media who care for the future and social prestige of their craft, hence this response became necessary.Nigerians are indeed in the know that this story had been written since the days when Dr Bukola Saraki held sway as the Governor of Kwara State, but those behind it has been using different captions, headlines and narratives to heinously disseminate their gibberish and cause confusion in the polity, but instead of making it humiliate or tarnish Dr Bukola Saraki's image, the visionary leader has kept disappointing them by staying focus on his generic essence of being in government without getting distracted by the shenanigans of emergency and delusional whistle blowers.Bringing back such misleading, disdainful, and contradictory allegations to the cyber space again for discuss at a time like this is an indication that the fifth columnists are left with nothing and ran out of ideas to soil the good name the Sarakis have built for many decades. These detractors should simply bury their heads in shame and own up to their own folly, deceptions and lies and get themselves involved in more productive ventures. It is depressing that the noble profession of journalism, which has been ascribed the sacred duty to uphold government accountable to the people, has been hijacked by witless, brash, unprincipled, and conscienceless charlatans and is being misused as a weapon of extortion and blackmail. Nigerian journalism needs to be salvaged from high-profile villainous, mercenary, and hypocritical hacks like Sowore and his ilk.The allegations of 'reckless' Boardroom manipulations which the writer purportedly claimed crippled the once beloved Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria(SGBN)should be sent to the office of any of the existing anti graft agents in the land and not engaging in libellous media sensationalism and other unprofessional conducts.Nigerians are too wise and civilised to be hoodwinked by such repugnant filth and misrepresentations.
