Nigeria vs Cameroon:Gov.Sani Bello Commends Super Eagles

Niger State governor,Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello had described the victory of Super Eagles over African champion, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the World Cup qualifying matches as proof of resilience and the Nigerian "can do spirit".He said that the superlative performance of the national team in Yaounde,the Cameroon on Monday where they were forced to a 1-1 draw was a confirmation that the victory recorded in the first leg at Uyo,Akwa Ibom State was not a fluke,but a resurgence of the Super Eagles as the team to beat on the continent of Africa.Congratulating the Mikel Obi led team,in a message signed by his Senior Special Assistant,Media and Publicity,Jide Orintunsin,the Governor commended the high spirit of cohesion and determination exhibited so far in their quest for a ticket to Russia 2018."The winning streak recorded by Super Eagles since the campaign for the World Cup qualifying began has brought us hope of our gradual ascendancy to our rightful position in football in Africa and in the world."I have keenly followed the progress of the national team in her campaign for one of Africa's tickets to the World Cup in Russia come 2018 and one cannot but commend the high sense of commitment at display by all the players and their handlers in all the matches played so far."I commend your fighting spirit.You never allow the first leg victory to becloud you.You took the battle to the host, subdued their early incursions and silenced them with a 1-1 draw to further book and secure the hoisting of our national flag at the 2018 World Cup."On behalf of myself, the government and people of Niger State, I congratulate our darling Super Eagles for their victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. For us to regain our enviable position in the world of football, I challenge you to maintain the steam,cohesion and team work," the governor advised.
