The Account Department and Internal Audit Unit of Niger State Hospitals Management Board organised a 2days workshop and capacity building on Accounting Record and Documentation in Hospital Environment for Hospital Accountants in Niger State Health Facilities.The capacity building was held at Block D of Jummai Babangida Neonatal and Maternity Hospital Minna on 11th and 12th of July,2017.The Synopsis of the workshop covered are Accounting Record and Documentation in Hospital Environment,Importance of Cash Book with Bank Reconciliation Statement,Income Statement and the Effect of Under/Over Valuation of Purchases, Opening and Closing Stock on Profit in Hospital Accounting System,Financial Management in Hospital Environment The workshop according to the management board, was part the strategies towards improving the quality of services delivery and also to enhance the skills of the targeted participants(Accountants).Presenting the certificate of participation, the acting Executive Medical Director,Dr Ndeji who represented the EMD of the board, Dr. Imam enjoined the participants to ensure they put to use what they were taught. Dr. Ndeji urged the participants to ensure professionalism while discharging their duties. "This is an avenue for us to interact, rob minds and share ideas with a sole aim to benefit from each other's experience as well to ensure that, accountability and transparency are upheld to compliment Governor Abubakar Sani Bello's developmental efforts of a functional Niger State" Dr. Mustapha Jibril stressed.
