Niger State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mustapha Muhammed Jibril has described the death of the Chief Protocol to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello,Haruna Vatsa as the loss of a rare gem whose death can not be forgotten soon by those who know the late Chief Protocol officer. Dr Jubril said the entire people of Niger State and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC. would miss Haruna Mamman Vatsa.Dr.Jibril in a condolence statement signed by himself on Wednesday evening disclosed that the news of Haruna 's death was received with a deep shock. "Death is inevitable"the Commissioner stressed, "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, associates, the APC Niger Family and my Governor,Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello who is yet to recover from the death of elder states man, Alhaji Dr. Maitama Sule before receiving yet another shocking death of his secondary school friend turned brother and his Director General, Protocol, Alhaji Haruna Mamman Jiya Vatsa".The Commissioner who was at the janaiza prayers at the deceased residence in Kaduna prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings,accept his good deeds and grant him eternal peace.The Commissioner's Wife, Dr. Amina Aminu Dorayi who joined her husband from Abuja prayed to Almighty Allah to give those survived Late Alhaji Haruna Jiya Vatsa the fortitude to bear an irreplaceable loss while Aljannah Firdause be his final resting place, the statement captured.The death of Alhaji Haruna Mamman Jiya Vatsa, was a personal loss to his Excellency Niger State Governor,  Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello. In a statement by Mr.Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace disclosed that "Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello on Wednesday wept at the burial of his Director General, Protocol, Alhaji Haruna  Mamman Jiya Vatsa".Adding that "Governor Sani Bello described the death as a personal loss of age-long and childhood friend, whose memories of hard work,  commitment, dedication,  loyalty  and kindness, stood unparalleled.The Governor who was in sad and pensive mood through out the Janaiza (funeral ) prayers at the family house of the Vatsas in Malali Quarters, Kaduna led by Mallam Umar Farouq,  Niger State,  Director General, Religious Affairs, said  he has lost “ a friend  whose memories I will live with for the rest of my life.This is one death that I see as a personal loss. Haruna was not just my Director General Protocol,  he was a friend, a brother, a trusted and trustworthy aide, a confidant who believed and supported the course we stand for.” The statement revealed.
