It was Dr Martin Luther King Jnr who said "Violence never really deals with the basic evil of the situation. Violence may murder the murderer, but it doesn’t murder murder. Violence may murder the liar, but it doesn’t murder the lie; it doesn’t establish truth. Violence may even murder the dishonest man, but it doesn’t murder the dishonesty. Violence may even murder the hater, but it wouldn't murder the hatred. It may only increase hate. It is always a descending spiral leading nowhere. This is the ultimate weakness of violence: It multiplies evil and violence in the universe. It doesn’t solve any problems"War has never solved any world problems, if a peace deal could be reached at the end of the war, it then means peace not war is what solved the problem. The recent declaration by some unscrupulous barbarians who claimed they are speaking on behalf of the North has generated a lot of furor in a hypocritical way among Easterners, and to some extent, Nigerians. It has shown how we allow negative acts by few individuals become the yardstick with which we judge a whole ethnic or religious group in this 21st century.
In my opinion, there is no difference between these groups parading themselves as speaking for the north and the clownish Con Artist called Nnamdi Kanu and his hate filled supporters. It is imperative for us to understand that the north has a standard, a standard we must uphold irrespective of the kind of utterances and actions that emanate from blood thirsty and foolish people. Northern Standard is the reason Governor elrufai ordered the arrest of those dimwits, the reason every sane northern person I know came hard on them and even northern governors forum issuing a statement against their declaration as against the glorification of Nnamdi Kanu by south easterners who never for once saw anything bad in his hate filled radio show where he called for violence against Hausas and Yorubas. The south east leaders (Deputy Senate President and former governors inclusive) were even falling over themselves to take pictures and receive his blessings when he was recently released on bail after being incarcerated for months. Some of the politicians in the south became advocates for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, in the process, they hypocritically advocated for the release of Elzakzakky too, they have since abandoned the later, it was only a deceit on the gullible Islamic movement supporters. An unknown evil group of less than 20 people comes out to issue a statement and all of a sudden it's the whole north? I believe these idiots are in bed with Nnamdi Kanu, they are working together in tendem to achieve a particular goal, to destabilize Nigeria and any one who supports them and their action is equally irresponsible. They are enemies of nigeria and should be condemned in all ramifications. Yes, Nnamdi Kanu might be wrong but paying wrong with wrong is even worse. There are equally millions of igbos that are law abiding and don't agree with that retarded clown as there are millions of northerners who don't agree with our own God forbids.
We have been speaking out against Nnamdi Kanu's utterances calling for war against Northerners, but it never generated this much furor because we are people with sense, we never accused the whole Igbo race of supporting it, but a single declaration by unknown individuals suddenly becomes the position of Northerners?
Don't you people get tired of war? Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, muslim, Christians and even pegans. We have all experienced it. See, the menace of Boko Haram onslaught which has been ongoing for the last eight years or so, is barely under control and this? Go to borno, yobe or adamawa and tell an average individual there about starting another war, only then you will understand the magnitude of the foolishness you are about to start. How do we develop nigeria and foster unity if we continue with promotion of hate for selfish political purposes? It is possible to condemn Biafra agitators and those northern fools at the same time, but using their inciting statement as a justification for what Kanu is doing makes you the same with him. If violence erupts today, there will be casualties on both side of the divide, you will only be setting your own people residing In the east for elimination, vice versa. It's only selfish boneheaded assholes that don't think about how their actions directly or indirectly affects others negatively. As far as I am concerned, those so called "Arewa Youths" are more of Arewa enemies than those they made their declarations against. I believe every single family in the north has one or more relative or friend residing in the east, who equally have investments over there, A northerner is the richest Nigerian today and I am pretty sure he has investments in the east, so except you are an adult with fish brain, you wouldn't want to destroy what others spend years building with their sweat because it will affect the people you claim are your people and that makes you enemy to your own region. It's high time we draw a distinction between those we listen to and take seriously and those we need to cage for our collective peace, the likes of FFK, Nnamdi Kanu, Those nameless northern youths etc can only be in the same category as shakau with their hate filled massages, and it's only right that they are treated as such, it's no more freedom if people are calling for violence against other citizens in their own country. The world has become a sick place where the voice of a negative few is heard louder than that of positive more. That needs to change, I know negative news flies like a rocket but we as humans need to start using our brain more and stop giving inn to these agents of Satan. Giving families sleepless nights because they are scared for their lives is something we should never even wished talk more of cause to others, no matter who. It will mean we have no humanity in us.
Using Nnamdi Kanu and few Igbos agitating for Biafra as an excuse to rattle and cause millions of Igbos living in the north sleepless nights is not only wicked and barbaric, it puts you on the same pedestal as Nnamdi Kanu, yes, the northerners in the east might also be rattled and affected but it doesn't mean the innocent and law abiding Igbos in the north should pay for the crime of others. That will only make you the same as terrorists that bomb innocent people in the west as retaliation for the west's invasion of the Middle East.Terrorism should be condemned and not condoned
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
