The Lagos state government on Tuesday insisted that Queen’s College, Lagos where three students recently lost their lives to the cholera outbreak will remain closed indefinitely.
The state commissioners for health, Dr .Jide Idris disclosed this while addressing reporters in Alausa on Tuesday after a meeting with officials of the Federal Ministry of Education and the management of the school said the school cannot be reopened as the water samples from one of the multiple water delivery points still pose safety and portability concerns.
Dr, Idris said among five water sources in the school, only three have been certified okay for human consumption while the remain ones pose serious danger .
He said the state government regretted the unfortunate incident, especially the death recorded and also commiserated with the parents on the painful losses and hardship face by the survivors
