2019: Gov Sani-Bello Restates Commitment To Education Development ...Canvasses Votes For President Buhari , All APC Candidates

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello on Wednesday said education will continue to attract prime attention of his administration, as he vowed to revamp the sector and restore the lost glory of teaching profession in the state.

The Governor stated this in Agaie, Agaie Local Government Area of the state while addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful and enthusiasts in continuation of his statewide gubernatorial campaign for his re-election bid.

Alhaji Sani-Bello who reiterated that his administration remain committed to ensuring professionalism, prestige of teachers and teaching profession said it will go a long way to revamp the education sector of the state.

Governor Sani Bello disclosed that his administration has perfected plans to establish Teacher's Development Institute in the three geopolitical zones to train teachers and meet the drastic shortfall in qualified and well motivated teachers.

He further said that the aim of the institute was to enhance and improve on teacher's education as well as service delivery. Adding that "education is the bedrock of any meaningful development".

According to him, "we are establishing these Teacher's Institutes across the 3 zones in the state - Munya, Agwara and Agaie Local Government Areas of the state.

"That of Munya is already in existence and they will help in enhancing highly professionally oriented teachers and also help in addressing the shortfall in qualified teachers at the basic education level."

The governor whose campaign train visited Katcha and Lapai Local Government Areas, assured the people of good governance and more developmental projects.

He then called for the people's support as the 2019 general elections draw near and also appealed to them the ensure the vote for the All Progressives Party through the elections.

The Governor who earlier paid homage to the Emirs of Agaie, Alh. Nuhu Yusuf, Emir of Lapai, Alh. Umar Bago Tafida and the District Head of Katcha, Alh. Baba Adamu received their royal blessings and prayers.

The royal fathers assured the Governor of their support at the forth coming elections.

The state party Chairman, Alh. Jibrin Imam while speaking at the event, urged the people to vote for APC all through the election.

Highpoint of the rally was the receiving of decampees from the People's Democratic Party into APC by the party state Chairman.
