2019 ELECTIONS : Gov Sani Bello Sues For Peace

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has counseled political office seekers and their supporters not to turn the forth coming general elections to a theatre of war but a friendly contest.

He handed down the advice to mamouth crowd of party loyalists and supporters on Thursday at Lemu, headquarters of Gbako Local Government and Kutigi, in Lavun Local Government areas of the state in continuation of his statewide campaign for his re-election at the next polls.

The Governor told party loyalists and electorates that elections are designed for emergence of leaders and stressed that the civic responsibility should be carried out
devoid of rancour and bloodletting.

"I have come to you today to enjoin you all to work together without any rancour. Elections should be a friendly contestation, devoid of rancour and blood letting.

"Election should be fun. It should be a friendly contestation. There should be no fighting or unruly behaviour before, during and after the polls. We are all brothers and sisters," the Governor advised.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) state standard bearer enjoined party stalwards in the state to assiduously work together for the success of the party at all levels.

"We must all come out and work for the success of all our candidates. You must ensure vicrory for the party from Presidency to the governorship to the national and state assemblies".the Governor added.

Earlier the district head of Lemu, Alhaji Abdulazeez Bello Bida commended the transformation the state has witnessed in the last three years and urged the governor to track up development.

In the same vein, the Ezonuwa of Kutigi, Alhaji Maina Mohammed  was full of commendation to the governor for fulfilling all the promises he made to his people.

The monarch noted that his people and the community never had it so good since the inception of the state.

The royal fathers then appealed to the state government to consider uplifting his official residences as well as their village heads.
