We Are Unaware of Any Petition on US-Detained Nigerian - Dabiri-Erewa

The Senior Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa has reacted to an online publication entitled “Family of US detained Nigerian man cries out, seeks FG's intervention “.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa who is also Chairman designate of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) in a Press Release signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said the online publication was a complete false as no correspondence was received in Diaspora Commission office with respect to the issue.

"We have checked our records and there is no such letter ever received in our office as the Commission  has not even been set up as at the time the said petition was reportedly submitted.

Secondly, all the line of communication is opened for any public complaint  which we respond to as soon as practicable.

The complainant or any other aggrieved Nigerian is advised to officially channel the communication to the Secretary or Secretariat of the Nigerians in Diaspora  Commission as we cannot treat such issue based on online report .
