Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has warned Corps Members in the state to avoid all forms of anti-social behaviour that can dent the good image of the NYSC Scheme.
The Governor gave this warning today in an address at the swearing-in ceremony for the 2018 Batch 'C' Stream Two Corps Members deployed to the state.
While addressing the Corps Members, he said all hands must be on deck to move the nation forward no matter the situation irrespective of religious and tribal differences.
Alhaji Masari, who was represented at the ceremony by his Special Adviser on Youths and Sports, Malam Ibrahim Kalil added that Corps Members' contributions to the development of the state cannot be quantified and urged the newly sworn-in Corps Members to beat the record already set by their predecessors.
"You are to shun cultism, political and religious intolerance or any form of anti-social behaviour."
"I wish to place on record, our appreciation of the contributions of Corps Members in the development of Katsina State especially in the areas of Community Development projects and augmenting the manpower needs in our schools and the health sector"' the Governor said.
Katsina State NYSC Coordinator, Hajiya Ramatu Sanda urged the Corps Members to embrace all opportunities of the service year to acquaint themselves with the concept of self-reliance and nation building.
A total of 1,507 prospective Corps Members comprising 918 males and 589 females took the Oath of Allegiance at the ceremony.
