The Publisher of NIMMA INT'L Magazine, Abdul-hameed Oladipupo Alli (MR. NIGERIA) took the 1347AH series of the NIGERIAN MUSLIMS MERIT AWARD (NIMMA) to the door-steps of the OONI OF IFE, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojaja II who was honoured with the prestigious AMBASSADOR OF PEACE AND RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE AWARD.
Similarly, the Yeyeluwa of Ife, Olori Zynab Otiti Ogunwusi was honoured with the MOTHER OF THE YEAR 1437AH Award.
Highlight of the event was the decoration of a front line Islamic Musician, Ameerah Aminat Ajao Obirere as QUEEN OF MUSIC, an honour deem fit on her by NIMMA INT'L Magazine.
In his address, the Publisher of NIMMA INT'L Magazine and Coordinator of NIGERIAN MUSLIMS MERIT AWARD (NIMMA), Abdul-hameed Oladipupo Alli(Mr. Nigeria) said that the event was inline with other similar ones they have held in honour of former first lady, Hajia Turai Yar'adua, wife of former vice-President, Hajia Aminat Titi Atiku, Hon. Justice Ahmad Olarewaju Belgore and a host of others. He commended the Ooni for his vibrancy and commitment to ensuring peaceful co-existence and promotion of religious tolerance in the society since he became the number 1 paramount ruler in the Yoruba community.
The chairman of the occasion, Prof. Tunde Ajiboye commended His Imperial Majesty on his award and urged him to continue doing more to humanity.
Before the Ooni of Ife's acceptance speach, the publisher/ Award Coordinator personally recognised Prof. Jelili Ojuade for his contributions in assisting the less previleged in the society hence, he was honoured with the DOYEN OF THE DOWN-TRODDEN AWARD.
In his response, the paramount ruler thanked Mr. Nigeria and the NIMMA INT'L Magazine for deeming it fit to honour him and most especially Prof. Jelili Ojuade whose honour the king said was his hour.
The Ooni of Ife shows lots of simplicity by personally presenting certificates to both Prof. Ojuade and Aminat Obirere. His action confirmed the description made by the Guest Speaker, Sheik Ahmad Labib of the King while delivering a lecture before the presentation.
